Shrimp Fried Rice - A Quick and Delicious Recipe

                                                                    Shrimp Fried Rice   

Ingredients:

Jasmine rice
Shrimp
Rice wine
Salt
Sugar
White pepper powder
Corn starch
Oil
Green onions
Garlic
Carrot
Bean sprouts
Green peas
Eggs
Dark soy sauce
Black pepper powder

Instructions:

1. Rice Preparation:

Rinse jasmine rice with tap water.
In a pot, combine 1 cup of rice, 1 cup of water, and 1 teaspoon of oil.
Bring to a boil, then simmer on low until no more bubbles appear.
Allow rice to sit undisturbed for 20 minutes, then fluff with a fork.

Note: This rice can also be prepared in a rice cooker.

2. Shrimp Marinade:

Marinate shrimp with rice wine, salt, sugar, white pepper powder, corn starch, and oil.
Set aside for marination.

3. Vegetable Prep:

Chop green onions, mince garlic, and finely slice carrots into chips.
Prepare bean sprouts and green peas.

4. Shrimp Cooking:

Pan-fry marinated shrimp until cooked on both sides.
Add garlic and stir briefly, then toss in bean sprouts and carrots.
Add a touch of dark soy sauce for color and flavor.
Remove shrimp and veggies from the pan.

5. Rice Stir-Fry:

Heat oil in the pan, crack eggs, and stir-fry until fully cooked.
Add cooked rice and stir-fry to warm and break up any clumps.
Season with salt and dark soy sauce for color.

6. Bringing it All Together:

Add green peas, then reintroduce cooked shrimp, bean sprouts, and carrots.
Toss in chopped green onions and a pinch of black pepper powder.
Ensure even coating and cook for an additional half to one minute.
